Xi'an, known as Chang'an in ancient times, is the capital of Shaanxi Province. This city, which has experienced the rise and fall of 13 dynasties, is like a huge museum. Whether it is the Terracotta Army, one of the eight wonders of the world, the ancient city wall that have gone through the vicissitudes of the sea, or the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, which once housed the Buddhist scriptures, all reveal the historical deposits. Xi 'an is one of the four ancient capitals of China, the starting point of the silk road, the “famous historical city of the world” established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 1981, and one of the top ten ancient capitals of the world. Today, it is an important central city in Western China and an important national scientific research, education and industrial base approved by the State Council.
The scenic spots in the urban area of Xi'an are relatively concentrated, with the ancient city wall as the center, the Bell Tower, DrumTower and Huimin street are located 1 km to the north. The ancient city wall is a 20-minute walk south to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, 3~4 kilometers southeast of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, there are Shaanxi History Museum,Dayan Pagoda and Tang Paradise. Shopping in Xi'an is mainly about souvenirs and delicacies. Xi'an Business District is concentrated in the east street, Jiefang Road, Xiaozhai, Kangfu Road and Weiyang Avenue.
The long history has created the humanities of origin. The folk art of Xi'an is also a brilliant intangible cultural heritage. The Qin Opera Society spontaneously organized by the old people under the city wall can hear the most primitive Qin Opera.; in the Crosstalk Garden, the locals tell you Xi'an in their eyes; there are imitation Tang songs and dances in the theatre, which re-engrave the flourishing Tang Dynasty that the land once experienced.
